Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless gas that is discharged from vehicle exhaust as a result of incomplete combustion.
CO interferes with the blood's ability to carry oxygen to the brain, heart, and other organs.



Benzene and Formaldehyde - both of these toxic air pollutants are produced from vehicle emissions and are known to bring about or are suspected of being carcinogens, causing birth defects, genetic mutation, and other serious illnesses.

Benzene and formaldehyde can be breathed in directly or carried by small particulate such as dust into the lung cavity.



Ozone - ground-level ozone is the major component that makes up smog.

Ozone reacts with lung tissue, causes inflammation and changes in the breathing passages and reduces lung functionality.
Ozone is not transmitted directly into the air but is produced in the atmosphere when hydrocarbons combine with nitrogen oxide compounds in sunlight.

Vehicle Exhaust Extraction Removes the Risk

  • Maintain couplings and flexible connections to prevent leaks.
  • Don’t rely on catalytic converters to run engines safely indoors, they don't remove toxic oxides of nitrogen.
  • Utilize exhaust removal systems to capture fumes directly at the source, drawing them away from the work area.
  • Ensure the work area is well ventilated.
    • Remember: ventilation alone is not effective enough to establish a clean air working environment.

If you are using our Crushproof system, we recommend that you use it with a fan and as an intermittent repair solution only, not to be run for long periods of time. This hose is to be used only with naturally aspirated 4 cycle engines running at an idle and under no load. We recommend keeping any run of hose as short as possible preferably 11' or under and sized to include ambient air to cool the exhaust temperatures. This hose is designed to handle frequent temperatures up to 400° and intermittent temperatures to 600°. When using Crushproof hose for the first time, watch closely to verify that the exhaust is exiting the building as designed. IF YOU SEE ANY EXHAUST COMING BACK INTO THE SPACE, THE HOSE IS NOT BEING USED PROPERLY. TURN THE VEHICLE OFF IMMEDIATELY AND CALL OUR EXPERTS.
