Ventilation alone is not sufficient enough when it comes to protecting repair and service technicians from vehicle exhaust. Car dealerships, auto body shops, and maintenance and repair facilities rely on garage exhaust systems to remove air contaminants before they enter breathing zones.
One of the most important elements of a garage exhaust system is the hose. Using an exhaust hose that's incapable of handling the demands of your application can result in safety hazards, increased expenses, hose failure, and lost production time.
Crushproof hoses are a popular option because they don't have a wire helix which allows them to return to their original shape after being run over or crushed by vehicles and other heavy machinery.
Because Crushproof garage exhaust hoses are made of rubber and are rated to withstand intermittent temperatures of up to 600°F, they offer higher heat resistance and flexibility when compared to standard metal or plastic hoses.
Crushproof hoses can take the place of regular garage exhaust hoses without having to replace the entire tubing system and are excellent for applications where the hose is left on the shop floor or used in an underground application.

If you are using our Crushproof system, we recommend that you use it with a fan and as an intermittent repair solution only, not to be run for long periods of time. This hose is to be used only with naturally aspirated 4 cycle engines running at an idle and under no load. We recommend keeping any run of hose as short as possible preferably 11' or under and sized to include ambient air to cool the exhaust temperatures. This hose is designed to handle frequent temperatures up to 400° and intermittent temperatures to 600°. When using Crushproof hose for the first time, watch closely to verify that the exhaust is exiting the building as designed.
