Using an exhaust hose that's not capable of handling application demands can result in safety hazards, increased expenses, hose failure, and lost production time. Crushproof hoses are specifically formulated to handle up to 600°F temperatures making them more heat resistant than standard hoses. They're also more effective than metal or plastic hoses for several reasons, including:

✓ Very affordable
✓ Doesn't require a fan to exhaust
✓ More flexible than standard hoses
✓ Crushproof, so even the heaviest vehicles won't break it
✓ Adaptable application based on the building layout
✓ Easy and efficient connections without additional nuts and bolts
✓ Plenty of unique configurations to choose from

5 Reasons to Use a Crushproof Exhaust Hose

In the auto industry, exposure to carbon monoxide (CO) is a major concern for garages, repair shops, auto dealerships and any facility where vehicles run idle or higher indoors. Ventilating a building by opening doors and windows does help alleviate garage exhaust but is not adequate enough to ensure that the air is clean and breathable.

Business owners and hobbyists rely on dependable and adaptable systems to effectively remove garage exhaust from the work area. Crushproof exhaust hoses are extremely efficient and here are five reasons why:

1. They're crush proof!

Crushproof is made of rubber and has no wire helix allowing it to retain its original shape even after being driven over (by the heaviest vehicles) and stepped on.

2. More effective

Crushpoof exhaust hoses are more effective than metal or plastic because they offer higher heat resistance and flexibility.

3. Adaptable

Crushproof exhaust hoses are adaptable to any application and system (overhead, underground, above floor).

4. User-friendly

Crushproof hoses easily connect to additional exhaust hoses or adaptors without requiring any special connections.

5. Cost-efficient

Crushproof hoses can conveniently take the place of regular garage exhaust hoses without needing to replace the entire tubing system — saving overall costs and time.

When dealing with high-temperature applications it is crucial to implement a garage exhaust removal system that can manage heat absorption. Without the proper equipment, heat can permanently damage a ventilation structure slowing down production and presenting health risks.

Garage Exhaust is extremely dangerous and potentially deadly. It’s recommended that any system is properly engineered to meet the specifications of your application. When using a crushproof hose for the first time, watch closely to ensure that the exhaust is exiting the building as designed. If you notice any exhaust coming back into the working area, the hose is not being used properly. Turn the vehicle off immediately and call an expert.

Note: The tailpipe should always be smaller than the crushproof hose by about 1/2" and used with the proper tailpipe adapter. This will create a cooler temperature inside the hose as ambient shop air is captured in with exhaust fumes.

WARNING: Vehicle Exhaust is extremely dangerous and potentially deadly. We always recommend that any system be properly engineered to meet the specifications of your application. If you are using our Crushproof system, we recommend that you use it with a fan and as an intermittent repair solution only, not to be run for long periods of time. This hose is to be used only with naturally aspirated 4 cycle engines running at an idle and under no load. We recommend keeping any run of hose as short as possible preferably 11' or under and sized to include ambient air to cool the exhaust temperatures. This hose is designed to handle frequent temperatures up to 400° and intermittent temperatures to 600°. When using Crushproof hose for the first time, watch closely to verify that the exhaust is exiting the building as designed. IF YOU SEE ANY EXHAUST COMING BACK INTO THE SPACE, THE HOSE IS NOT BEING USED PROPERLY. TURN THE VEHICLE OFF IMMEDIATELY AND CALL OUR EXPERTS.
