Out-The-Door - The most affordable and simple way to exhaust fumes from a garage is to install an out-the-door exhaust hose system.

These systems can be used to extract vehicle exhaust from gas and diesel-powered cars and light truck with rear-mounted exhaust pipes.

To ensure adequate airflow and hose performance, don't forget about these two points that will cool air and minimize the risk of pooling and backup air:

Always allow for an air gap of at least 1/2-inch around and tailpipe

Keep the distance from the door to the vehicle under 24-feet

Under-Floor - An under-floor system requires a rubber elbow to connect the hose to a floor port where a fan extracts vehicle exhaust away from the garage.

It's recommended to use a crushproof hose in under-floor systems because they can endure harsher conditions and are less likely to become damaged when compared to metal or plastic.

If you decide to implement an under-floor system, you'll need the following components:

Sealable floor plate	Drainage tile

6 ?'s to Ask When Designing a Garage Exhaust System

1. What is the tailpipe shape?

The proper fitting nozzle is based on the shape of your tailpipe.

2. What is the tailpipe O.D.?

Measure the outside dimension (O.D.) to determine the width of the tailpipe.

3. What is the tailpipe protrusion?

To figure out how the adapter will fit on to the tailpipe it's important to note how the tailpipe or tailpipes protrude from the vehicle.
Older vehicles feature a tailpipe that protrudes from the body and requires a spring-clamp attachment while newer vehicles feature flush tailpipes that require a suction-cup attachment.

4. Do you have dual tailpipes?

Y-connectors are required to connect dual tailpipes.

5. What is the distance to outside?

Starting at the tailpipe, take down an accurate measurement of the distance to the outside.

6. Will your system be passing through a garage door?

If you're exhausting through a garage door you will need a door port to feed the hose through.

We recommend keeping any run of hose as short as possible preferably 11' or under and sized to include ambient air to cool the exhaust temperatures. This hose is designed to handle frequent temperatures up to 400° and intermittent temperatures to 600°.
